Leading in its field ASAP was the first minority agency to carry out in depth life style research into the Black community, and produced "The Black Consumer Survey" in 1982. When published in the Mail On Sunday the results of the survey changed the way in which the African and Caribbean communities across the UK were viewed by the host community. The Black Consumer Surveygave the communities their first step from "the margins to mainstream".
Formed by Yvonne Thompson CBE PhD, the agency has metamorphosed on several occasions; and has been noted for its work in niche areas, many of which has now arenas sought after by mainstream agencies who work with us for that expertise .
